Managing Partner - Communications & Content
Change is only constant in the new communications landscape. Crafting high impact, content driven programmes that harness the power of storytelling across platforms and devices is key to business success. Find the core story – the moment of connection – and explode this.
Emma-Jane (E-J) joined the Deepend Group in mid-2013 to build an integrated agency offer created at the crossroads public relations, social media and digital communications. She founded sister agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) in March 2014, working with inspiring partners across sectors to drive consumer behaviour change and positive business impact.
Since launch, the team have challenged what it means to be a communications agency and taken on the big players as a leading independent. The team is made up of PRs, designers, strategists, writers, digital and social specialists, united by one goal – to create great work. We’ve sought to be a leader in a broader movement that has shifted category perceptions, not only in terms of the type of work we deliver, but the skill set we hire and talent we nurture. Our client partners span Infrastructure, Technology, FMCG, Health, Travel & Tourism, Retail, Not For Profit and Entertainment.
During the last year, we garnered 36 accolades for our work, people and agency, including recently being awarded Boutique Consultancy of the Year at the PR Awards Asia 2019, named in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2018 Global Creativity Report as one of the top 20 independent agencies, and recognised as B&T PR Agency of the Year 2018,
E-J has particular skills in leading and motivating high performing teams. She has a proven track record in driving strong revenue and margin growth, developing new product and service offerings that positively impact the bottom line. On the client side, her skills lie in developing creative and strategic campaigns to support brand re- positioning, thought leadership activities, major events and product launches. She has a passion for integrated communications, leading multi-agency groups across experiential, brand identity, social media, digital, ATL and sponsorship.
Prior to launching HWBK, E-J held the position of Managing Director Weber Shandwick Australia. She was also responsible for sister public relations company GolinHarris.
